Terms of Use & Charter

Last updated: July 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Boat4all, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use & Charter. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Use of the Platform

Boat4all provides a marketplace connecting boat owners with renters. We do not own, operate, or manage any boats listed on the platform. Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Bookings, Deposits & Refunds

  1. No booking is considered binding and no boat is reserved before the required deposit has been paid in full. Requests, offers, negotiations or communication of any kind do not constitute a booking. A booking is finalized only upon receipt of the deposit and the related confirmation from the platform.
  2. Each boat has its own charter terms: deposit amount, minimum duration, operator requirements (speedboat licence or mandatory skipper), maximum number of passengers and any security deposit. These terms are stated in each boat's listing and/or offer and prevail as more specific.
  3. The deposit is credited against the total charter price. Its payment constitutes express and unreserved acceptance of these Terms of Use & Charter as well as of the specific terms of the particular boat.
  4. Where a security deposit is provided for, it is paid before or upon embarkation and is returned upon redelivery of the boat, provided the charter terms have been observed and there are no damages, losses or outstanding charges.
  5. Boat availability may change until the deposit is credited; the platform does not guarantee availability for unconfirmed requests. If a chartered boat becomes unavailable due to force majeure or technical failure, an equivalent boat is offered or all amounts paid are refunded in full.
  6. Where the boat requires a licence, the charterer must present a valid speedboat operator licence before embarkation. Failure to present it is treated as a no-show and creates no right to a refund.
  7. Late arrival does not extend the charter period; late return of the boat is charged pro rata and may incur an additional charge if it affects a subsequent charter.
  8. The balance of the charter fee is paid at the latest before embarkation, by card, bank transfer or cash. For every charter an electronic charter agreement is issued (e-Charter via charter.yna.gov.gr where required) together with the corresponding tax document.
  9. Cancellation policy (by the charterer):
    • Cancellation at least 7 days before the charter date: 100% refund of the deposit.
    • Cancellation less than 7 days and up to 48 hours before: 50% refund of the deposit.
    • Cancellation within the final 48 hours, or no-show: the deposit is withheld in full.
  10. Cancellation due to weather conditions or a sailing ban issued by the Port Authority: the charterer chooses either a full refund of the deposit or a free change of date, at no charge.
  11. Early return of the boat on the charterer's initiative creates no right to a refund.
  12. The price includes the boat's charter fee, VAT and other taxes, insurance, and the life-saving and firefighting equipment required by Greek law. Unless otherwise agreed, it does not include the daily fee of a professional skipper, fees and expenses of intermediate ports, or the cost of fuel.
  13. The boat is delivered with a full fuel tank and must be returned with a full fuel tank; fuel consumption is borne exclusively by the charterer.

4. Charterer Obligations & Liability

  1. The charterer takes delivery of the boat in sound condition, together with the necessary equipment and required documents, and must return it in the same condition. Any damage to or loss of the boat or its equipment is borne by the charterer.
  2. The charterer is solely responsible for compliance with Greek law and the General Port Regulations for the duration of the charter. Any fines are borne exclusively by the charterer.
  3. Operation of the boat by anyone on board other than the declared charterer/operator is not permitted.
  4. The transport of illegal substances and items is prohibited, as is the consumption of alcohol or illegal substances by the operator while under way.
  5. The charterer must ensure that all passengers wear life jackets and that, while under way, the operator keeps the quick-stop safety key (kill switch) at hand.
  6. Setting sail in adverse weather conditions is not permitted — indicatively, with wind force above 5 Beaufort.
  7. The lessor bears no liability for loss of or damage to the charterer's property, nor for injury to those on board caused by the charterer's fault or a breach of these terms.

5. General Charter Terms

  1. Any amendment, extension or renewal of the charter terms is void unless made in writing.
  2. Charterers' personal data (including ID/passport details required for the charter agreement) are kept and processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy, exclusively for the performance of the contract and compliance with the law.
  3. In the event of a breach of a material term, the lessor company is entitled to unilaterally terminate the charter without liability, reserving every claim for compensation.
  4. The courts of Piraeus and Athens have jurisdiction over any dispute.
  5. These terms are available in Greek and in English. In the event of any divergence between the two texts, the Greek text prevails.

6. Bookings and Payments

All bookings are subject to owner approval unless marked as instant booking. Pricing is set by individual boat owners. Boat4all is not responsible for disputes between owners and renters.

7. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for providing accurate information, maintaining account security, and complying with all applicable laws and regulations while using rented boats.

8. Limitation of Liability

Boat4all is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the platform or any boat rental arranged through it.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
